- GGgreg gilmerJan 1, 20261.0Went yesterday to deposit large check into my account that was on a local bank and the teller told me to wait to get approved by her manager , she came back after 5 minutes and said it would require a 7 day hold. Said manager was “too busy and didn’t have time to speak with me “. Was very disappointed with the attitude and lack of customer service. Computer transactions don’t take 7 days to clear a check. Also took 10 minutes to count some money through the machine . We always get wonderful customer service from the great staff at Carter bank in Galax Virginia. Always friendly , professional and knowledgeable. Will not be returning to the branch in Mount Airy again. Perhaps some additional customer service training is in order. Very unprofessional staff !!!
