- MDMae DavisJul 19, 20241.0Just moved to the area and I needed to open a new bank account so Friday morning 9:45 Am I came to open an account with my payroll check (The local business I work for banks with first citizens, the banks logo is stamped on the check) So naturally I thought I’d open a bank account with them but their lobby was closed so I went to the drive thru with my ID and any other info they may need to prove my identity. I was told since they didn’t know me they wouldn’t do business with me, she didn’t even bother to ask me to come back when the lobby was open (which I would’ve understood) I’m still very confused by her comment, Does First citizens only open new accounts for people they personally know? And what kind of bank doesn’t have their lobby open in the late morning hours on a Friday especially ? So I went to Champion credit union right next door and opened an account without any issues.

I opened a No Minimum Balance with NO Monthly fee account and I just received a Statement that they are closing my account after they STOLE what little I had in there for a "Monthly Fee" I have NO MONTHLY FEES but the account is being close because after they STOLEN my remaining balance for a MONTHLY FEE it is now at $0 balance. I would suggest Avoiding any First Citizens Banks as this is there standard Policy!
