    I have had a business account with them for 4 years and I have always spoke very highly of their customer service. I am purchasing another truck for my business and of course I reached out to my bank. I was dealing with Richard Breitbarth at the Matthews branch. He informed me that I could do it under the business name. Knowing that I have a high personal credit score I specifically asked if they would be doing a hard credit pull. He said NO! I already knew that I would be signing as a personal guarantor but, the hard pull was done without my verbal or written permission. This is not in compliance with the "Fair Credit Reporting Act" I am under the option that First Citizen has to save the bank money by hiring under trained and incompetent employees. However when it affects you they offer no explanation or apologizes for their lack of communication in why this was done without your permission. I am waiting to hear from his boss Eric Richard but, I will be shocked if he actually reaches out to me. I will write a review later to inform readers of the outcome. If you look at my history I only write good reviews for businesses. This is my first because companies need to follow the laws concerning this. For now unfortunately they get a 1*.

    When other banks didn't seem interested in helping us open a 2nd location during the pandemic, Pam Decker, came through for us. Great service and great products to help us.

    Very rude and discriminatory customer service. I had to draw attention of First Citizens bank corporate for multiple issues.
