I made a cash deposit on 10/20 through the drive through teller (Mo) at 4:21p. He asked me the amount of cash and I confirmed the amount. I did not have a deposit slip with me (my mistake). When he came back to the window he said have a good day and sent back my ID with receipt. When checking the slip later, I realized I was shorted $100. I called the bank on 10/22 and spoke with Mo who immediately met me with “why did you not check it immediately” “what you’re saying doesn’t make sense.” He gave my information to the branch manager to call me because I wanted cameras to be reviewed as I am positive I was shorted $100. She called me and reiterated the use of a deposit slip which I understand HOWEVER I confirmed with the teller the amount and he never came to me to say I was short- which she agreed was standard practice l. We left the conversation on 10/23 as she would request review of the cameras and get back to me. It is 11/2 and I have not heard back, my next step is to get Huntersville PD involved. I will update this review accordingly.

This is the worst Bank ever I am literally right now at a gas station using my temporary card because my original card was misplaced while I am awaiting it to come in the mail. They provided me with the temporary card have money in my account, however it’s declining the card in the store. I called customer service to let them know. The response from the gentleman almost floored me. He said to me “oh sometimes the temporary cards just randomly stopped working, and there’s not anything that can be done I said, sir I’m literally stuck here at the gas station trying to get gas so I can get home you’re telling me that there’s nothing you can do the card is not going to work..?He said “yes ma’am, that’s what I’m saying. .!!I “ I politely told him thank you and I ended the call .. I have never ever in my life. This is so beyond ridiculous. If this is this banks way of showing customer service it’s ridiculous. Now I have to make calls prayerfully someone can come and meet me here because I can’t even go to the ATM and pull money out because the temporary card doesn’t work According to this gentleman it happens randomly and there’s nothing they can do …I mean how is that OK to even tell a customer that..? never open an account people with Truist and I will be closing my account as soon as humanly possible the worst experience ever I would think that someone in corporate somewhere would see this review and at least have enough courtesy to call me, but I doubt that that will happen. Do not repeat. Do not do not do not open an account with Truist Bank!!!!!!!!

My experience with the Truist branch in Huntersville, NC has been frustrating, time consuming, and financially costly due to poor guidance and follow-through from Branch Manager Kong Korf. On her advice, I took out a loan through Truist to purchase a used vehicle that had an existing lien through Bank of America. She assured me the paperwork she provided would allow me to register the vehicle, but that turned out to be incorrect. After wasting over four hours at the DMV, I learned the vehicle couldn’t be registered until Bank of America released its lien—a basic detail the branch should have known. To make matters worse, the loan check sent from Truist was returned because it lacked an account number—yet another oversight. Repeated attempts to get answers from Kong led nowhere, with her deflecting responsibility to the “back office.” I was left unable to use the loan, the seller was still making payments on their loan, and we were both paying insurance on a truck I couldn't even drive. I eventually contacted Morgan Mills, a Senior Vice President and Kong’s supervisor, with a detailed complaint. Nothing moved forward until I called Morgan and told her I would escalate the issue further. Only then—after weeks of delay, countless phone calls and emails —was the problem finally addressed that same day. This entire process took almost 7 weeks; this is completely unacceptable for a simple vehicle purchase. Morgan also acknowledged the mishandling and promised compensation for the time and inconvenience. That compensation never materialized. As a loyal Truist customer, both for personal banking, mortgages, and business banking, I expected better. This entire experience was avoidable, and the lack of accountability and follow-up has severely damaged my trust in this branch and Truist leadership.
