They are the best, I've tried big and small, and no one compares to SECU! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Best part if you need something they get it done

Great, genuine interactions. I opened my Investment Roth IRA today with Katie and David with no complications or complaints. They made it simple, easy, and we had some great conversation as we went along.

I have been a customer of SECU many years and have used this branch since it opened. The employees have been extremely courteous and knowledgeable. I noted the review below and wanted to share my experience. I observed all customers being asked the purpose of their visit (such as need teller services or need a loan officer), because I believe there may be maximums in the teller area and then perhaps in the different waiting area for a loan officer. This appeared to me to be related to current precautions. Thanks for the many years of service SECU!

I have had two bad experiences at this location. The first one was with the Drive Thru. We deposited (ATM) a Money Order my wife has written to another agency, but we didn't send the money order and decided to deposit it in our joint account. The Branch and couldn't accept the deposit since it was written to another agency or organization. We asked for the Money Order to be returned to us so that we can cash it at the post office where we bought the money order. They branch or teller instead gave us a photocopy of the money order stating the original has been sent to the vault. However, we insisted the copy will not be accepted by the post office. We desired no trouble and since the post office was few blocks from the branch, we took the money order and the post office refused. We came back to the branch and told them the post office couldn't honor the photocopy of the money order, which was apparent. I had to insist that the branch request for the original money order or else, we will not leave the Drive through before the lady or teller leader was able to produced our money order she hasn't send out. She was insisting that we provide a receipt of the money order, which was also another story of prejudice. On Friday, July 31, 2020, I walked through the door of the branch again and I understand the social distancing rules. However, at the door, the lady who is there to help clients understand social distancing guidelines blocked me at the door asking what I came to do in the bank. Again, there were few clients in the tellers lines. Of course, no one comes to the branch to buy grocery and even after I told her I was here to transact business, she insisted I had to tell her what exactly I came to do at the branch. This was absurd and subtle discrimination and shouldn't be allowed at a small bank that I have several investments. I am an African American, but I'm not a criminal. I work and earn my living through honest labor. The Branch need to educate their employees about interaction with clients because I have never experienced such behavior at the Uptown, Airport and Brookshire locations of the Bank. This perhaps seems to be a pattern here.
