A not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members, SECU has been providing employees of the State of North Carolina and their families with consumer financial services for over 80 years.
I'm very disappointed at the recent behaviors that secu has been exhibiting. I used to love this bank but the recent updates and newer employees have ruined the experience for me. I've been banking here since I was a child. I have 4 accounts with secu. I noticed on my primary account, the one that my bills come out of, charges at random times. I will check my balance before I buy groceries like most people do, check how much I can spend, then it'll come out same day and the balance will change. But then a few days to a week later the same charge will come out again. But my balance goes down again. I called them to tell them and the treatment I received was shocking. Whenever I call them about anything often the tellers are rude. This account drafting has also been happening to other SECU users, like my sister and mother. It's very irritating and frustrating that this has been happening ever since the update. I am so disappointed in what this bank has become over the years. I remember them hosting family days and children's events for the community. Now they could care less. They aren't involved in the community and don't care about their customers unless they're rich or want to take out loans. Which the information for those changes everytime you go depending on the person you see.
