Jacob, one of the customer service specialists at this location, has gone above and beyond to help me with recovering funds, fixing one new debit card issue and helping with one deposit issue. I cannot be happier with this bank location and the customer service received during this process.
- JWJamie WestOct 24, 20231.0They continued to violate law § 1005.17 by saying that we weren't allowed to opt out of overdraft protection. At first they told me I had opted out but then a few months later I got an overdraft charge. I called in and asked why, since I had specifically requested not to be opted in, and was told that I had no choice and had to have it. This is not only not true it is also a violation of § 1005.17. At first I didn't realize they were lying to me and thought I had to just swallow it. Later I learned that this is not true and regardless of what type of account it is you are legally allowed to opt out of overdraft protection on your debit card. I called in again to inform them of this and instead of coming into compliance and removing me from overdraft protection they decided to retaliate and close my account. If your going to bank here just be willing to do things however they want it done because if you expect them to follow the law they will just close your account instead.
