At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities. That happens through real care to make things better. To meet client needs, to empower teammates, and to lift up communities.
I recently deposited a local homes sale proceeds for an out of state client from a local attorney. Truist puts a 7 "business day" (11 day hold including weekends) hold on almost 84% of funds! This is just one of the many reasons I moved my business accounts elsewhere. Read the fine print when opening bank accounts - there can be a LOT of difference. Shop smart.

Gave them my number in the morning and they said they will call me. It's 3:24pm still no call. Been trying to call and they never answer the phone. Left a voice message no response. I am withdrawing all money and changing my direct deposit to another bank. I am done with it now.

I arrived at this branch 10 minutes before closing after rushing from another city, only needing something simple printed. I sat and waited, but no one approached me until after 12:00. At 12:04 I was told they couldn’t help because they had already clocked out and their system was closed. I had even passed an employee walking in before 12 who said nothing until after.
This isn’t the first time I’ve experienced poor service here, no matter if they’re busy or not, closing or not, it feels like they just don’t want to do their jobs. As one of their bigger clients, this is unacceptable. We’ll be switching to another bank where customer service is actually valued.
