I went to close an account that had never had fees associated with it, only to find out they now charge one and refused to waive it. It’s disappointing to see how their banking practices have shifted. What used to feel like a community-focused credit union now feels like just another bank with fine print and fees. I’m moving all my business elsewhere and encouraging others to do the same.

I have been back and forth with them for over a year about debit cards randomly not working when I am hundreds of miles away from home. And when I go into a branch to ask for help, I keep getting a shrug, a replacement card, and a promise that someone from the card center will call. They never call to to solve the problem, or, if they call, they never bother to leave a message. Wells Fargo was not the best to work with, but at least their systems actually worked. I would recommend taking your business somewhere else and bank with people who care to help and/or know enough about their own business to have answers instead of the same useless excuses over and over and over again.
