Truist bank is one of the worse bank in US. I request everyone not to do any business transactions with them. I have opened business account in October 17th 2024 with the help of banker Ashley submitting all the required documents. I opened two accounts one general checking and other one is lottery account. I have deposited total amount of 1,10,000 ( $1,00000 check and 10,000 cash). So far everything was good they gave me 10 counter checks for emergency use until I get my check book. They did Credit my check on next day 18th of October 2025. After a week I wrote down a check of 60,000 to seller. A day later I knew that check has been bounced. I was shocked and ran to the bank for verification. A gentleman in the teller has print out my statement stated that available balance is 1,7,0000 in my checking & 3,000 in my lottery account. I asked him the reason of check bounced but he told me that he is unaware of it I need to talk to Manager James. I asked Mr James about the reason but he stated that he is unaware of it and suggested me to resubmission of all required documents. I did it all one more time but days and week has been passed no progress at all. Every morning I used to go to bank and waited for hours and hours for hoping to hear the news. In every visit manager used to tell me haven’t heard anything from corporate. One morning Manager James told me that they have closed my account and they will going to mail cashier check . I thought after that my problem will solve but who knows that bigger problem is on the way. I received the check of $10,000 but not the $1,00000. According to manager’s suggestion I contacted to 1-800 number and I was told that the amount is bigger but they are sending my check before Christmas.Till now I haven’t got my check . It is absolutely fine if they don’t wanted to do business with me but nobody or none of the bank has right to hold other’s money. I have never seen any bank taking more than 90 days for investigation. But mine is more than 15 months already. Now the BM has changed but still no progress at all. I have submitted all the documents whatever they have asked still money has not been released. For small businesses like us $1,00000 is a big money. I have lost so much I had to sell my another business to run the new business & lost my nursing job too. Now I am having mental issues and going through the treatment. Truist I am letting you know that if something happened to me your bank will be responsible for that. Otherwise I need the written legal letter for holding my money. I am in that situation of life that I need to take the help of social media to expose about your bank. I need the reason why have you done this to me because I am a brown skin that’s why? I have a humble request that before you doing any business with this bank think once.

Customer service rep in office did not seem like she was having a good day. My teller was friendly and helpful!

We have been Truist customers since we moved here. They treated us very bad recently. We applied for a home equity loan and were told our credit was so good no problem. We went out of town while we were gone the closed our loan and never let us know. Very poor service. Do not trust them. The will screw you!

Hello, I am writing to formally address a recent and unsatisfactory experience at the Truist branch located on North Elm Street. As a longstanding client who manages multiple business accounts with Truist, I have generally appreciated the quality of service provided. Unfortunately, my recent visit did not align with that standard. On my visit at approximately 10:00 AM, I requested a standard amount of change for my businesses, specifically a box of quarters, dimes, and nickels. I was informed that the branch manager was unavailable at that time and was advised to return the next day. Upon returning the following afternoon, I was then told that the branch could not accommodate my request due to a lack of available change. Moreover, the communication I received during this process was dismissive and not reflective of the professional service I expect from Truist. While I understand that operational challenges can arise, the manner in which this situation was handled did not meet the level of customer care I believe your institution strives to deliver. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and address the matter internally to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Thank you for your attention and commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.
