A not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members, SECU has been providing employees of the State of North Carolina and their families with consumer financial services for over 80 years.
I find them helpful, friendly and respectful and polite 🙂

The North Carolina State employees credit Union has stopped being a member institution and has become a commercial establishment. After the new administrative group came into play you have entity the policies which actually hold your money hostage until they feel like releasing it. I was just informed by The market Street branch that they now have policies that when you have a refund back into your account they hold it for 4 days so they can collect a few pennies and interest before they take it out of current balance and place it into available balance which is fraud

Clean, neat and friendly staff at this Friendly Avenue/ W. Market St. location. You don't have to wait long to speak with a financial advisor here. Lots of parking and drive thru available here. I suggest you visit this location for great service. Stay clear of Holden Rd location. Not in a hurry to help and alot of sitting around doing everything but work in the financial department. That from management down. Tellers are ready to assist and pretty much good at their job. I still recommend W. Market St/ Friendly Ave location

Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had with a SECU branch in Greensboro. On Tuesday, June 10, I visited this location to set up a credit card payment plan with Julio, one of the loan officers. We specifically agreed that payments would begin on the 20th. However, the very next day, I noticed a payment had already been pulled from my account.
I tried calling the branch several times, and it took over 30 minutes—and multiple attempts—before someone finally answered. I was told that no other loan officer could help me because Julio had set up the plan and the branch was short-staffed. I had to leave him a voicemail and wait for a response.
When Julio finally got back to me, he apologized and admitted that he mistakenly scheduled the payment for the 10th instead of the 20th—even though I had clearly and repeatedly emphasized the correct date. The lack of attention to detail, urgency, and overall customer care was extremely disappointing.
I wasn't planning to write a review, but this issue could have been entirely avoided had he simply paid closer attention. I’m deeply unsatisfied with the service at this branch.
