All banks provide terrible customer service, but SunTrust/BB&T/Truist without a doubt securely holds the bottom rung.
Last Monday, this location's ATM took several hundred dollars of cash I deposited, then printed a receipt that said there was an error, and to call their 800 #.
I tried to get assistance from the staff inside & nobody knew what to do. I asked if someone could check with the branch manager, and after several minutes I was told that they said was 'There was nothing they could do. Call the # on the receipt."
Impossible to actually speak to a branch member because they do not answer the phone.
As of today, no response from the bank and no money deposited in my account, despite filing a claim and leaving numerous messages at the branch.
Unbelievable.
From ATM's continually being out of service, to errors taking cash then failing to print receipts with the amount deposited (nor showing up in your account), to charges for anything and everything, to tellers and managers who are worse than government employees because they know they simply don't have to nor are they expected to provide any semblance of customer service.
Problems require major perseverance and escalation on the customer's part to even get a response.
Run as far away as you can from Truist.

Worst Truist branch I have ever been to. Did not want to help me get my money back at all. Literally told me to call a support number and that there was nothing else they could do. That is sad!

A woman names Jennifer was there today. I believe she was from another location. In the past few months there has been many turn overs. The new manager and Jennifer both looked miserable to be at work today. Neither of them smiled for the ten minutes I was there and when they communicated to each other it was in a aggravated tone. I am liking this location less and less every time I go (which I have to go twice a week for work purposes). It’s a shame bc it used to be fun going in there when we had Tom and the old manager. They were a bright light. Now this new manager is miserable at work and it’s trickling down. Not a great environment at all.
