If I could give no stars I would. Quite literally the worst experience at a bank I've ever had in my 35 years of life. Last week I went to this branch with a check I needed cashed, the woman verified the check, and it got cashed. Today I went in there with the same company's check, the same woman from the week prior tried calling to verify it only one time. Looked at me and said I can't verify the check so I can't cash it, I said buts its drawn on your bank. You shouldn't have to verify the check. Very long story short, she asked me to get someone on the phone with the company the check was drawn on, I did. I told the lady the extension you need to call is this... she said, if it's not the number on the screen here with the account I can't talk to them. So why did you have me call around, you watched me for 20 mins try and find someone. I left without my check cashed, remember it's a FIRST CITIZENS BANK CHECK, uncashed. I went to another location; they cashed it no problem. I called corporate, a filed a major complaint. Apparently that policy is a per branch policy, the lady at Corp pretty much said I was being discriminated against. She sent the complaint higher to be investigated. That it is not something they have to do; it is a choice. This woman is going to do this to the wrong person. Imagine someone locally to downtown, receives a First Citizens check and they do not have a bank to deposit the check into. They take it up to the closest first citizens, the one I went to, and this lady tells them no I can't cash it because I can't verify it. You are playing with people's money, rent payments, money for food for their children. People get hurt for way less. Thankfully, I will be opening an account there so this woman has to see me every day of her life, I will be making $1 in person deposits daily. You do not get to pick and choose who you decide to deal with in life, everyone is equal no matter who or what they are. Also, the manager, she's going to cause these ladies to mess with the wrong people, as it was her choice to put that policy in place. Do better.

Today I drove from Raleigh to Fayetteville just to use this bank location. Always a great experience. Super friendly, efficient and best customer service I’ve experienced at any bank location.
