My elderly God mother is out of over $10,800 because she reported a potential scam and when she went to the bank to inform them, they wouldn't even change her account number and sent her name to Adult Protection Services. They released the money anyway and won't return it and it appears to us to be an inside job. They're trying to say that they didn't change the account number because it wasn't compromised but if it wasn't compromised then why did you report it to Adult Protection Services? It appears that the manager was trying to make it seem like she was out of her mind and didn't know what she was doing. Alot of us think someone from this bank kept her money and/or has something to do with it and we're going to fight this. Even the social worker at Adult Protection found the behavior of this bank manager and staff very odd and concluded an investigation will be done. If this was done to my elderly mother, how many other people have they done this to? My mom will be closing this account and we will go through necessary measures to expose, seemingly, unethical practices at this location!!! My Mom has been banking with Carter forever and this is how they treat their long time elderly customers. We're definitely going to fight for my Mom and others that were exposed to wrongdoings from this bank and it's staff!!!

In the past few years in particular, one teller has stood out as above and beyond. Jośe Membreńo is always friendly, professional, accurate and prompt. He very quickly became a “go to” person for help is resolving any issues at the bank. Hopefully management will recognize the positive attitude and work ethic Jośe brings to this branch and keep him front and center representing Carter Bank.
