A not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members, SECU has been providing employees of the State of North Carolina and their families with consumer financial services for over 80 years.
I waited approximately 25 minutes before being helped. After finally speaking with someone, I was told I would need to be transferred to another representative, but that person had just gone to lunch. Since I was there during my own lunch break—which is the only time I have available during the workday—I had to leave without resolving anything. The experience was disappointing and inefficient. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand, as this visit confirmed the concerns others have mentioned.

After having a horrible experience today at the Slater Road branch I drove over to the NC-54 branch to try again to open an account. I just want to give a shout out to Padma and Shirley for being so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful! You ladies are wonderful!
