- MNMia NolteSep 26, 20231.0Poor leadership and customer service After having lost a loved one, we went to this branch with the appropriate and correct documents from probate court. The entire interaction spanning over weeks was negative, difficult and completely unnecessary. Management refused to close the account having misinterpreted the documents provided. After having to bypass the branch and speak with the estate department ourselves to resolve the issue the branch still refused to release the funds. Instead of listening and being empathetic the manager was rude, talked over us and failed to apologize when it was clear she had misinformed us by refusing to close the account. After 3 weeks of back and forth and an hour long visit with numerous calls to the customer support line, we were finally able to close the account. In a moment of great difficulty having lost a family member, Wells Fargo created additional stress and unnecessary issues simply making a hard time harder.
