  Discrimination and Bias is alive and well at Truliant – Apparently discretion appears to be a matter of personal favor versus actual policy when it comes to new accounts and walk-in customers. Perhaps there's extreme bias toward people with disabilities or something deeper going on here?! Called ahead just hours prior to see if I needed to make an appointment to open a new account and was instructed I could 'walk-in' no problem, so that's what I did. Sure, I could have even done it online, but I had funds that needed depositing immediately so I wanted a live session. I hobble up to the 1915 Back Creek Drive location on Dec 15th around 3PM – There's no line, place is near empty, next available teller is a pasty guy with glasses. I proceed to tell him that I'd like to open a new account ... like an actor dictating lines from a bad movie he promptly belts out "You need to make an appointment" !! Offers no alternatives or exceptions or other words regardless of me telling him I just got off the phone with someone saying to come in without an appointment. Woman teller next to him supports his antics emphasizing the cue is full. Nobody wants to manage old estate money or lottery winnings, I get it. Get over yourself. Setting up a new account takes 15-20 minutes. I tip well, say please and offer thank you without any expectations. Hard pass. What a croc, so much for customer service. Rather than make a scene or get bent out of shape I quietly depart and move on to the next credit union. On a side note - I'm disabled and have to use a mobility walker just to get in and out of the house, so it takes a lot of extra effort and time to get out on the coldest day of the year. Oddly enough, people do discriminate against it. Ended up going to a highly rated credit union down the street, no appointment, no problem. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Sad really, I wanted to give Truliant my business, but obviously they're doing well enough they don't need it or want it. Probably paying to filter their reviews like most advertisers do anyways. Better off going with a big corporate bank than this place. Complete waste of time.

  I had an outstanding experience with this bank. The staff was professional, friendly, and truly committed to helping customers. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Special thanks to the branch manager Felicita Rodriguez for going above and beyond to assist me with patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend Truliant. to anyone looking for great customer service and reliable support.
