I gave 1 star because there is no option for zero stars! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! My mortgage was transferred to them very recently. They emailed me to let me know of the transfer and said I would receive a letter with my new account information to use their online app. The letter should have been received Nov 10th, I got it Dec 1! Granted we had a grace period and not charged late fees. I got the info I needed to make my online account to make my payments. The app would not allow me to add my personal bank info. So I called. The woman at customer service said I had to verify my account information. She then asked me for my FULL banking information! Red flag! Not going to just give my personal bank info to a person who could easily write it down and clean me out. So I said I'd mail in the first payment and asked if once that was processed, could I make future payments online, she said yes. The payment was sent that same day. It was received and processed a week later. I then went online to make this month's payment only to have the same issue! So I called again. Customer service said I had to verify my account and asked for my FULL social security number!!! I asked "you mean the last four digits?" She said no the full number. Again, no! How is this secure? They are asking for full personal information!!! I don't care that it's a bank! I have never had an issue like this. In this day and age you do not give any information out like that! My mortgage has been transferred 2 other times before, not by choice, and was able to make my online profile and pay no problem!!!
Then the told me that I entered my name first on the Truist account and my husband's name is first on our bank account. So I asked if that was something they could change. Both of our names are on everything! Should it matter!!! She said no we can't fix that. WHAT? It's your bank, you are customer service! You mean to tell me you can't adjust account information! I spoke to 6 people, and NOT ONE HELPED!!! In the end I will be mailing my future payments. Truist has the worst customer service in my opinion. Don't bother calling, you will be met with customer service reps that cannot help you. And I myself work as customer service. If I could change banks I would immediately!

I normally don't write reviews on loans but I recently got an RV loan through them. It was 8.99% apr for 15 years which is 26k in interest resulting in 58k total which is almost double what it's worth. The RV i bought was only worth 32k. I have been paying the loan for 6 months and barely made a dent towards the principal it has all gone to interest. Basically they trap you in the loan. I am glad that I got a home equity loan from my credit union for 6.25% interest for 10 years. Im now only paying 10k in interest. Avoids this bank at all cost for loans unless its your only option.

I have banked with them for years and they have never done anything to help us. We called ahead of time during the Democrat government shutdown and they told us one thing about having auto pays paid and now they say they won’t do that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BANKING WITH THEM. THEY ARE NOT HONEST AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A PERSON, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEMSELVES.
