A not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members, SECU has been providing employees of the State of North Carolina and their families with consumer financial services for over 80 years.
I do great service there. Never had an issue but only issue today (or yesterday)was the lady miscounted my money. I counted my money with another bank customer what was supposed to be $250 and went into the bank and deposited the money into my share savings. She counted it and counted $230. That wasn’t much at all so I asked about it. I thought she was mistaken and asked if she was sure and she claimed she counted it right… but I counted correctly. And that’s all I’ll say to that. I’m saying make sure you count your money and they count it correctly in front of you. She can have it. I will get it back

It is always in your extreme time of need that your greatest supporters are revealed and SECU has proven themselves to be just that.
I was researching a financial institution that I could develop a long term relationship with and this particular SECU branch seemed to have a lot of positive feedback.
When I went into the location, I was helped by a wonderful person named Dominque. She was kind, helpful, and amiable but, most importantly, she seemed personally involved and responsible for my success. Her customer service was truly outstanding. That type of loyalty and motivation or high energy commitment cannot be manufactured.
I was introduced to the bank manager, Mr. Lee. I believe strongly in the ability of real leadership to make a difference and it showed with Mr. Lee and his team.
In any organization— attitude, demeanor, and sentiment should go from the top down and Mr. Lee displayed the ethical standards and confidence of a true leader. I left our meeting under the impression that it isn’t a job title that sustains him in his role of leadership, but the daily permission, concession and support of those he serves in the community. This was something special and true.
I would like to thank both Dominique and Joshua Lee for their help and commitment at a time I needed it most. I HIGHLY recommend this credit union.
