I have an accent, and when I asked about international options, the lady I spoke to seemed dismissive and rude, leaving me with the impression that the bank had little interest in assisting me. Her comment about my documentation needing to be in English caught me off guard. I guess speaking multiple languages makes me stupid? As a result, I have decided to open my account at a different bank.
- KMKara M.Oct 6, 20181.0I came in here after an unfortunate experience at another Wells Fargo. I set up a bank account yesterday with this chain since our other banks are not in this state. Sadly, this state does not allow for ALL assets to pass legally to another spouse if one dies without a will as the state laws in NY and FL do allow. Therefore, we wanted to have a basic will signed protecting each other. My husband and I came into this branch hoping they could notarize the simple will document we had printed from online. If they refused, I was just going to close the account out. We were told the bank will no longer notarize this type of document and provide witnesses . That’s great for them if they want to have these rules. However we will no longer be using the Wells Fargo mortgage lender and this company just cost themselves hundreds of thousands of dollars in loan interest that we would have paid. We have already talked to the other lender and will move forward with them.
