$8 to cash a check from this bank without an account. Unreasonable
. Somehow overcharging and still providing abysmally slow service on par with the DMV

I am 15 trying to open a minor checking account that my parents can have access to (you have to be at least 13 to do this). We scheduled a appointment to come set up the account on Good Friday, because it is one of the few days the stock market is closed but banks are open, (my dad is a investment banker and used to be under a branch for Truist that was later sold) anyways after taking time out of our vacation day we called before hand to see what documents we need, the person on the phone was new and he was kind enough to go on hold and check what was needed. When we get there on time for our appointment, the banker that we were going to meet with was on his phone for at least 5 if not 10 minutes before even starting to acknowledge us (I was not too frustrated with this until what happened later). After this he called us into his office and as we told him our intentions of what we anted with the account we were trying to open, he told me I needed to show him proof that I had my permit? I had turned 15 less than 2 weeks ago and had just passed my permit test but we were not told proof of this was needed this was needed. What blows my mind is how dumb this employee can be speaking that what I was trying to do you could be 13 and it is not possible to have your permit until 15. Also from research I've done, It is not required to be able to drive to have a minor checking account. We were very frustrated especially because we called ahead of time to clarify and he told us it was required to set up the account. Not once did this man turn on his computer to look at anything or make a phone call to clarify the crap coming out of his mouth. This man also had not worn a nametag so I have no idea who he is. Later that day we went to the Fenton location where a very nice lady Eve Brown, helped us set up the account properly, clearly knew what she was doing, told us that the dude was not right about what we needed to bring, and was very helpful. Spent my holiday off on some idiot that had no idea what he was talking about.

Brittany and Scott are always super kind to me when I come in. I have a bunch of tedious transactions because of my business account, but they’ve been nothing but helpful and patient each time.
