Now I understand why this Truist branch has such a low rating.
This morning, less than an hour ago, I entered the Truist bank located at 301 College in Asheville. The sole teller was completing transactions with a customer and I was next. She greeted me and I told her I needed a minute to write out my check. I was visiting Asheville and also handed her my driver's license. The next thing she said to me I knew I did not understand. I asked her to repeat it. She said, "Do you have an account at this bank?: I WAS SHOCKED!!! I pointed out she has MY check that she saw ME write in front of her. She said some people come in just to cash checks. I asked if I looked as though I COULDN'T have a bank account? I also told her I had never been asked that question by any Truist employee in ANY state. She completed my transaction and then asked if there was anything else she could do for me? "OH God, NO!!"
I have been a bank customer from the United Virginia to the BB&T until now. SHE IS THE WORST TELLER EVER. I THINK SHE SKIPPED THR COURSE ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHAME ON YOU!🤨

I had banked with BB&T for 30 years before they changed to Truist. I always had a good experience banking with them, employees knew who I was and were always eager to help. I was worried when the merger with Sun Trust came about that things would change. Things did not change but got better for me. I still have a personal relationship with one banker there that makes all the difference. Thank you for remaining so personal.

HORRIBLE. This bank bought out Suntrust and literally destroyed it. It was great before and I'd used Suntrust for 10 years. After they took over I had to move my personal and business accounts out of there. Long lines, incompetent staff couldn't find my accounts. I couldn't even get into my online banking for weeks. RUN.
