1-Star Review: Poor Communication and Lack of Professionalism
I applied for an auto loan through Truist and was told I’d receive a response within 24 to 48 hours. Not only did I never get a response, but the representative I spoke with gave me her direct number and assured me I could reach her easily. I left four voicemails and two emails — not a single reply within the promised timeframe.
This isn’t an isolated incident either. Over a year ago, I applied for a $4,000 personal loan and the exact same thing happened: no communication, no update, no courtesy follow-up. I had to physically go into the branch after a week just to find out the status.
To be clear, this review isn’t about being denied — I fully understand that not all applications are approved. What bothers me is the complete lack of customer service, follow-through, and basic respect for my time. If a bank can’t even let you know you were denied or keep their word about being available, it says a lot about how they treat customers.
I won’t be returning to Truist for any financial needs, and I suggest others think twice before trusting them with theirs.

I will never go back to this location! I was discriminated against and it was very hurtful. I had my debit card and driver's license to show to teller so I could withdraw my money. And he literally held my money and made me answering all these questions to verify me! I have never been through this. Treated me like a criminal! Wow can't believe people are actually like this.

Slow and disinterested in helping you solve problems. They seem to delight in technicalities to create roadblocks. I'm used to banks that know their customers, care and engage in a meaningful way to solve problems. I've had a terrible experience here.
