A not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members, SECU has been providing employees of the State of North Carolina and their families with consumer financial services for over 80 years.
These people will go the extra mile for their customers and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my banking.

If you are looking to get a mortgage and you are self employed or commission based i do not recommend coming here. My husband and I went in about a year ago for the first time, they told us what we needed to do and to come back in february to meet the job timeline requirements. We went back in february and worked with a employee named nita smith (she was amazing and actually cared) she told us that the last employee we talked to had missed something and that we actually had to wait until july to get pre approved. Fast forward, we went back in yesterday for the third time and once again, were told something different by another employee. (nita retired) Every single employee we worked with told us something completely different so it was pretty much a waste of time! Just wanted to leave this review as a heads up for others!

State employees credit union doesn't accept veterans? Since when? seems loke a scam. Government wants to make interest off what they pay their current employees.
