Beware of this branch and the individuals currently representing it. My experience exposed a level of hostility, confrontational behavior, and reckless misuse of authority that should alarm anyone responsible for safeguarding a company’s reputation.
The staff at this location demonstrated an astonishing disregard for professionalism. Their conduct escalated without reason, culminating in the abrupt closure of an account—an action they claimed was “retaliation” simply because they had the power to do so. The casual manner in which this was stated was deeply unsettling, suggesting a culture where employees feel entitled to weaponize their authority rather than uphold company policy or serve the customer.
Even more concerning was what followed: corporate was contacted, and absolutely nothing was done. No follow-up, no resolution, no accountability. The silence spoke volumes. When both frontline employees and leadership dismiss legitimate concerns, it signals a systemic failure that cannot be ignored.
It is alarming that individuals exhibiting such hostility, defensiveness, and blatant unprofessionalism are entrusted with handling sensitive financial information and customer data. This branch’s indifference to customer concerns and its willingness to act punitively raises serious questions about oversight, ethics, and internal controls.
The organization must take immediate action to evaluate its hiring practices, retrain or replace ineffective management, and restore basic standards of professionalism. Allowing a branch to operate with this level of dysfunction is not merely bad service—it is a reputational and operational liability.
Executives should view this as a critical warning: the behaviors displayed at this location are not just unacceptable; they are dangerous to customer trust and brand integrity.

Opening a new account was a pleasant and easy experience. After being greeted by a teller, I waited just a few minutes until Bert invited me into his office. He explained everything in a concise and professional manner. In less than 20 minutes I had a new account and all my questions answered.

I have been a customer of the First Citizens Bank in Apex for 15 years. I absolutely love this bank mailnly because of the people who work there! Dottie works the drive thru and is the sweetest person. She's a staple at the bank! Manisha always helps me with my international transfers for my business and is so awesome. Burt helped open an account for my son and is very nice and professional! I randomly saw this 1 star review and never thought to review my bank until now.
