  I just had the most fantastic experience with a branch manager, Chelsea. I came into the branch to cash a check; I do not have an account with West Stockman. She explained that she needed to contact the account holder to verify that they had written the check. After being unable to contact the account holders, she checked with her supervisors, and they explained that it is policy for checks of that size that they have to verify with the account owner, or they're not allowed to cash the check. We eventually were able to reach the owner and verify everything was correct. The best part of this interaction was that I use four different banks for business and personal purposes, and I've written checks for tens of thousands of dollars. I've seen them cash and money moving around like it's a sewing machine, and never once in the 20 years I've been in business have I ever gotten a call to verify the validity of any transaction besides blatant fraud. To have Chelsea go above and beyond to protect her accounts, even though it was a smaller check, impressed me. It was that important, and by policy, verifying that check had to happen. Even if we couldn't get a hold of the owner and I couldn't cash that check, I would still walk out of that branch with the biggest smile on my face, knowing that I'm going to be moving a pile of money over to Stockman Bank and starting business and personal accounts, just for the simple fact that both times I have cashed a check with Stockman Bank, they verified with the owner that the money transfer was valid. I've had to chase my own money after I finished working for it, and there's nothing worse than chasing your own money and wasting time, which costs more money while chasing money, which should have never been lost in the first place. Keep it up, Chelsea and Stockman Bank. I'm absolutely impressed, as is everybody else who works for Stockman Bank. You guys have impressed me, and I will bring all my business to you soon.

  Every time I walk into Stockman Bank, I’m warmly greeted by the staff, which makes the atmosphere feel much more inviting than you’d expect from a bank. No matter who assists me, they always take the time to ask how I’m doing and engage in a friendly conversation. Every time I come in my son is with me, & the first time we came one of the male tellers gave my son a candy cane & a mini sloth stuffed animal. It's been my son's favorite thing since then! Wish this location was able to have an ATM, but thankfully there are a few spread throughout town.
