After being a member for several years, I was unable to find a branch location in the area where I was working. I only had the account setup to be able to use the wire transfer service when money was transferred from my investment account.
The simple checking account was not used very often. I travel extensively and most of the time there was No WF bank in the area.
But recently I had the need for a service that the bank offered. I had been given a refund check from the local Chevrolet dealer.
I never use checks anymore. So I wanted to deposit the $1,076 check into my account via the ATM. I located the branch nearest my hotel off overland Ave.
My debit card was rejected and would not allow me to use the card for anything.
Luckily I thought the next day was Friday.. so I went into the branch and was greeted by the nicest teller. She offered me assistance and upon reviewing my card she told me that my account had been closed for inactivity only 6 days earlier. The bank had charged me $10 fee every month that my balance was below $500. The account was overdrawn by $7.00 when it was closed.
The Teller was surprised at why this happened. She promptly called the manager over to ask what happened and how could we undo the damage?!
She was LESS THAN helpful.
It was totally unacceptable that my account was not maintaining a $500 balance. She was not interested in doing anything to assist me. No discussion with a happy ending.
NOTHING but the look of disgust on her face.
She was not even willing to cash the check and deposit the money.
Absolutely nothing was done to assist me.
My home is in Florida and the statements were going there. I had no idea that my account was not maintained the $500 balance or anything about it being closed.
The Teller maintained her cooperative spirit.
But the fact that the manager did nothing to assist me in remaining a customer was the reason I LEFT without telling the teller thank you.
It legit me feeling like my business was not important enough for this lady to do something that would have made me want to remain a loyal customer. NO WAY.
This was my last straw. I am only. Sorry that the helpful teller was forced to see me get upset.
Remember Miss Manager, the customer is always RIGHT. Without us customers there would be no need for your service. Change careers ma’am.
You have zero chance of success with your bad attitude.
Good bye WELLS FARGO. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion. Any other bank 🏦 is better than this place.
Charles Sims.

I was told by a teller that if I did a mobile direct deposit with a Wells Fargo check that it would be available right away just like going to a teller. I was lied to and this was not the case. Called support and they told me that no matter what a mobile deposit is one business day. Not impressed and very angry. Will probably leave and start a new account at another bank for this. Withholding my money is wrong.

I am a small business owner in Billings. I have always heard about horrible stories coming from Wells Fargo but Allstate banking requirements had me pick a local national bank... I chose Wells I will never bank with them on ANYTHING ever again. I wish I would have remembered the branch manager on the Grant Rd location I did not. She was probably the most rude person I may have ever dealt with. When I returned from another branch to explain what I was looking for she simply said, "Well you got it didn't you," turned, and walked away from me. There is no customer service and all 1-800 numbers for any assistance. HORRIBLE

First let me start out by saying I’ve banked with Wells Fargo since 2015 and have always favored the Grant rd location but my experience on Saturday June 1st really left a bad taste in my mouth and has me really thinking about switching banks all together. About 3 months ago I switched jobs and my new job doesn’t do direct deposit so I go in every Saturday into the lobby to have a teller cash my paycheck. The company I work for banks through another bank (first interstate) but i’ve never had an issue cashing my checks because I have an account with Wells Fargo. Well June 1st I stop in and I am being helped by a woman named Satin who was rather short with me from the beginning. I let her know I will be cashing my check then depositing cash through the ATM since it would be available immediately instead of on Tuesday (since it was a Saturday). Again, I come here every other Saturday like clock work so I’m pretty familiar with the process. We pull up my account and Satin automatics tells me they won’t be able to cash my paycheck because i don’t have the money to cover the check in my account? Which has never been a problem before considering it’s a printed check from a local company. So at this point im flat out confused I asked her why I have never had a problem cashing the previous 6 checks I’ve brought in to the same branch, from the same company previously, some checks even being twice the amount. She has no straight answers for me at first it was because I don’t have the amount already in my account to cover the check I’m cashing, then it was switched to “this check isn’t even from Wells Fargo so I can’t cash it. Maybe if you hurry you can make it to First Interstate and they will help you.” In my opinion that’s piss poor customer service for one and that’s why I’m confused why I even have an account with Wells Fargo in the first place?
