The loan officer up there is the bank president and he strongly influences prospective builders and owners of apartment buildings to charge much more money than what is affordable and fair for rent before he agrees to give them loans. Stockman finances many apartment complexes in Billings, so if you can't afford one, you have the bank's president and his horrible assistant to thank for that.

- KJKeith JakupcaJul 22, 20212.0I have been in 4 different mortgages in 20 years and I have never seen a bank look for excuses to delay a closing the way stockman did. Thank goodness our buyers were understanding. The main reason I went to stockman was to bank local but less than 30 days after closing, they sold the note to a firm in L.A. Not unusual but don’t claim local then sell nationally. To top it off, instead of paying Stockman, now we get to pay to new LLC. Never had to do that with my previous 3 mortgages. Wish I would have known this before I worked with them. Lesson learned
