First Interstate Bank iover-withdrew my account and took money that did not belong to them. There was no warning, no notification, and no attempt to fix it until I caught their error and called them myself. Let that sink in: their mistake, my time, my stress. And of course, they’re not paying me a cent in interest for holding my money. But if I were even a day late on a payment, they’d happily stack late fees, penalties, and interest without hesitation. Funny how accountability only works one direction. This is the kind of behavior people expect from payday lenders — not a bank that pretends to be “community-focused.” If you value accuracy, accountability, or basic respect for your money, think twice before banking here. I will be moving my accounts elsewhere.

I have been with fibk for years. In the past couple years I have moved most of my money to other banks because of better cd rates and money market. Fibk has to be losing customers.
