Renasant bank closed my account without my knowledge after many years of banking with them. Year of 2025 I had to get 5 or 6 debit card concerning fraud someone tapping my with my account I never had to deal with this before, also given out information. When you call customer service sometimes someone get smart and don't have any knowledge of what going on still looking at the information on computer. I don't appreciate and never would I recommend anyone banking with them, very disappointed because I really liked this bank (Upset) you don't do that without letting a customer know especially when you know who I am. They possibly look at me like the bag lady because I am broke and look like it also, making decisions for me without my knowledge; also no one has power authority over me to make those decisions either for me; thank you very much!🤔🤦 😡

Renasant Bank is extremely careless with personal information and does not care about accuracy of their customer data.
Someone unknown to me has opened a Renasant Bank account using my email address, and I have been trying since September to get them to take my email off the account. Customer service reps have behaved rudely toward me, even to the point of hanging up on me.
I don’t know why they can’t get something so basic as a customer email address correct, and I really don’t understand why they can’t take a polite phone call from me offering to help them get it correct. But they don’t and they can’t. Take your business elsewhere.

I became a Renasant Bank customer earlier this year following the acquisition of my previous bank (The First Bank). While I've had no major issues with most aspects of banking, the remote (mobile) check deposit function on the Android Renasant Bank app has been unreliable and frustrating on multiple occasions.
In mid-November 2025, I deposited several checks, including two that were very similar in amount and design (though with different check numbers and account details). The deposit summary initially appeared correct, but later showed one check missing without explanation. When I contacted customer service for assistance, the representative immediately assumed I had deposited the same check twice and provided no further investigation. They even suggested I close my accounts rather than help resolve the confusion. After checking the app details myself, it did appear as a duplicate at first, so I apologized and redeposited the missing check.
However, just this month (December 2025), the exact same issue recurred. I carefully deposited two nearly identical checks (again, different check numbers), separating them with a different check in the batch to avoid any potential errors. The initial confirmation showed all checks, but later one of the similar checks vanished entirely from the records, while the separating check was duplicated—one accepted and one declined.
This pattern strongly suggests a software bug in how the app processes batches of similar-looking checks. It's concerning that the system can misidentify or drop legitimate deposits without clear notifications or reasons, and that customer service defaults to blaming the user rather than escalating or investigating potential app issues.
Remote deposit is a key feature for convenient banking, especially post-acquisition, but these repeated glitches undermine trust. I hope Renasant addresses this in a future app update and trains support staff to handle such reports more helpfully. Until then, I'll be extra cautious and may need to visit a branch for deposits.

Highly dissatisfied with the customer service. I’ve given multiple chances, sent emails and still no resolution. Nor has a manager from the resolution department contacted as I requested. I’m left with no option but to contact BBB.
