- DRDiane RuckerMar 30, 20251.0I called Planters Bank seeking a mortgage loan for an investment property in Indianola, MS. Got referred to David Mason. All conversation was fine until he received a copy of our drivers licenses, taxes, and SSN’s. Our credit scores are in the high 700’s and he seemed eager to work with us. Once he received our information he started making excuses and ceased all communication. What would make a banker, that makes money banking do that? Hmmm could it be that we’re an interracial couple? What a sad world we live in. I would never have anything else to do with this bank! Mr. Mason never met us and was very cordial up to that point. He never had the decency to respond. My husband served 28 years of his life in the USMC and I served over 14 in the US Army defending our nation and people like Mr. Mason. It truly saddens us that people like him still exist, but they do. Our loan is currently in underwriting at the moment and we will secure our property despite your efforts to thwart our endeavor!
