- AUA Google UserSep 30, 20155.0I'll never forget the first time I spoke with Mark Audet. My mom told me he would be calling, so this was no surprise. He called my house one evening and introduced himself, stating that he had been working with my parents as their financial planner. He didn't want me to do anything, but he just wanted me to know who he was, since he would be contacting me in the future to deal with the final plans for my parents. He sent me his contact information for my future reference. Well, after two years of hearing my parents speak highly of Mark, my husband and I decided to take the plunge, meet him, and see where I stood with my financial planning. Mark was very down to earth,and I left his office feeling pretty good. He was neither pushy, nor arrogant, and not like any planner I have met. He really listened, took notes, and talked to me, not at me. He answered all of my questions in terms that I could understand, since finance and insurance are not my strengths. I was glad that he assessed how my husband and I each felt about financial decisions. This helped us all work together towards goals for paying down our debt and investing in a balanced portfolio. At our second meeting, Mark took his time to go through all of our papers regarding retirement, savings plans, and insurance. He had already done some work on possible options for us to consider and shared those ideas with us, without pressuring us to commit. He allowed us to have time to talk about this before meeting with us again to take action on our decisions. That is one of the best perks of working with Mark Audet. He will call or talk to you in person, but never pressure you to do anything. Mark has our long-term view in his sight. By being the financial planner for my parents, he knows what our situation may look like 20 years down the road, without sharing those private details at this time. Finally, Mark is very personable.
