Dealing with Edward Jones at the Valley Center, Kansas office was a nightmare. I was told settling a Trust would take a couple of weeks and it took several months. I firmly believe it was done on purpose so they could hold on to the funds longer. When I questioned what was going on and why, I was constantly told "it is the home office holding things up" or "we can't do anything, the home office has to do that". Apparently, this office has no authority to operate its business effectively. Internal and external communication was terrible. Due to a lack of internal communication, taxes were not taken out as directed. I ended up having to hire a CPA and am now paying quarterly taxes due to their mishap. There was no proactive communication during this nightmare. I consistently was forced to reach out to them to find out what was going on with my account. At one point I was told I could direct my brother’s account, then weeks later I was told we needed to sign a form (which would have been easily done). This was after they had already made changes to his account based on my conversation! Bottom line, they put the Trust and my account at risk by delaying what should have been a straightforward and timely process. Since I already had a financial advisor, they purposely delayed the necessary transactions. They couldn't care any less about me as a customer or the many years my parents paid them to manage their money.

After a disappointing experience with our Edward Jones advisor, I attempted to address unresolved issues through the firm’s complaints investigation department. Unfortunately, the experience only deteriorated further. The individual assigned to review my complaint, Jerry Cole, conducted himself in a way that was dismissive and unprofessional. He ended our phone call abruptly and offered no explanation or follow-up afterward. There was no effort made to address the substance of my concerns or provide even a basic level of communication. It is extremely concerning that a representative tasked with client issue resolution would handle a complaint in such a careless and disrespectful manner. It sends a message that client concerns are not taken seriously — even when they involve questionable fees and poor financial management. Due to this ongoing lack of accountability, I will be forwarding this matter to the appropriate regulatory bodies. Clients deserve fair treatment and transparency, neither of which I received here.

This was my first visit to the south campus and the building has a very impressive interior design with large glass windows overlooking the cafeteria. Inside there is a conference room with office spaces located on the upper floors.

Don't give this company your money...Because I am a busy person and run three companies, my local Edward Jones advisor thought he should punish me by locking my online access to my own account. I haven't been able to access my account for three months. After contacting him, he replied that because I have not returned phone calls or emails, he locked my account. I have requested my account be closed and no one has responded. What are they doing with my account? Stealing my money? Schoolyard bully advising people on what do do with their money? Using Gestapo tactics and locking my account for non communication. Really? This company is a rip off. My advice: Go to T. Rowe Price. I have my main retirement account with them and they have never tried this type of bullying. What has this world come to? If my bank did this to me, I'd be filing a lawsuit immediately!

This company is awful. Dont give them your money. They took my mothers money and collected fees for two years before deciding that I needed guardianship to manage my mothers money. Al I have done is pay her bills. Now I have to pay thousands in lawyer fees to get guardianship. The sad thing is, she is running out of money. Before I was convinced to move my mothers money to Edward Jones, I had complete control of her dwindling money supply. Edward Jones is using legal maneuvers that they should have confirmed due diligence before taking her money over two years ago.
