- HBHarriet BrownFeb 26, 20165.0Jake was cold-calling when he first became an agent, and my last name just happened to start with B. We hit it off right away, and in the ensuing years, we have become close friends and reached an agreement (early on) about my investment philosophy. As I have grown older and lost my husband, our approach to investing and distributing money has changed, but I trust his judgment implicitly. We are a partnership, and we are friends. I owe not having to worry about having enough money to live on in retirement to Jake, and to the fact that he listens to me when I find something that I think we need to jump on: 3-D printing, for example. We got in on the ground floor because I read and study what's happening in technology. (He was a little bit skeptical at first--it really is hard to imagine how a machine can totally replicate, say, a handgun, or a cell phone, or whatever, but he's on board with me on these things now.) As I age and my brain continues to succumb to dementia, I will trust him to always do the right things for me, Jake is the son I wish I'd had!...and I love his family as well. My daughter, who is a lawyer in Los Angeles, has entrusted some of her investments to him as well. I don't know if he is accepting new clients, but if he is, I highly recommend that you make an appointment with him ASAP!
