There are many reasons to recommend him, Life happens...try to figure out a rollover when retiring, or help with a NUA, or a QDRO, I have no idea how to do any of this but he does. Didn't even know what they are. The tax advantages are huge when you have a professional doing it right.They have software that shows real life events, kids college, marriage, how often to get a newer car, Best place to put your money for a emergency fund. Making sure the money is there and available for what you need when you need it. Then after retiring he explains in detail of what money to use first and the reasons to do it that way. Many, many things the average person would never think about. Everyone in his office is very nice and very knowledgeable.

Typical Kirby Vacuum cleaner type sales pitch with very little hands on attention to your accounts except to put unnecessary fees from your accounts into the advisor's pocket. Edward Jones is a joke...do your homework and read all of the negative reviews about this company and their antics. Multiple lawsuits against them. After all...it's your money they are supposed to be managing...too bad they don't manage it. Any firm that operates as this one does should be ashamed of themselves. There are plenty of legitimate advisors out there that will actually do their job...unfortunately this is not the place. The biggest regret I have is trusting Mr. Ping to do what an ethical advisor should do. Find another home for your money...it will be mismanaged here.
