- RGRyan GleasonJan 31, 20251.0Working with Blaze has been such a frustrating experience that I've regretted ever since my wife and I switched to Spire. The last straw that prompts this review is that I had a CD that matured in the middle of January and was given an email address to a branch employee and was instructed to get in touch with her. I have sent two emails that have gone unanswered and stopped by the branch today to inquire about next steps with the CD. Guess what, the CD automatically renews for another 6 months because I didn't take action within 10 days of the CD maturing. Who knew? Certainly not me, because that information was never shared when I went in at the beginning of January to ask about it. We will not wait for it to expire before moving all of our funds out of Blaze and to another credit union or bank.

I had just went through a lot of unfortunate life events with losing my job, getting evicted from my apartment and spiraling into debt. I was terrified to walk into Blaze, let alone any credit union, and ask to apply for an account. It felt so embarrassing to explain my situation & then pray for the best that Iād be accepted into their branch. I ended up sitting down with Michele and my worries melted away. I finally felt understood & heard, and she genuinely wanted me to build a better financial future for myself so I could get out of this mess. She explained all of my options thoroughly and gave me a rundown of how to use the mobile banking app. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and felt confident with selecting Spire (now Blaze) as my credit union. I will never bank with anyone else and Blaze forever has my support! Thank you again Michele for all of your hard work! šš
