Everyone should go to TruStone Financial Credit Union. They really are the best.
Don't eff around with fees and bs. They are lenient with payments and try to help you out. Since they are a smaller bank, they will often times approve you for things when other larger banks won't. They have done a lot for me since they know me well there. Gave me low rates and helped me increase my credit score.
I have made friends with a lot of the employees there and they get super excited when I bring my dog in there, they love him, they call him the "branch manager" lol
Anyway, if you want to get an acct there, drop my name and you'll get either $50 or $100 depending on if you open a checking acct or a checking & a savings account.
I don't vouch for a lot of places but this one I'm 100% behind.

Going inside has yielded positive results, but the drive-thru is consistently a disappointment.
My wife and I had our drive-thru machine shut down at 5:30 sharp this Friday while still filling out paperwork with no word from staff. We just had to drive away with our 10 minutes from checking the lobby (which now closes at 5 vs. 6pm), the wait in line, and the minute or two filling out what my wife could. I get there are closing hours but to just shut the machine down in front of us without saying anything felt dehumanizing.
Worse yet I now have to spend more time (and money) to come back again to simply deposit some checks. I have low vision and do not drive myself, my wife has a schedule of her own, and these are rebate checks with an expiration date. This means I will be paying a cab to bring me back out to the bank on the next weekday, taking that time out of my work day. I cannot return Saturday morning because I am then on-call for work. Either way my future holds taking time out of my work schedule just to get money into my bank account.
I wouldn't even post this if it were my first negative experience specifically with the drive-thru. I can't say my in-building experiences are great, but never something I'd feel so strongly about as to post. I also would rather post my negative feelings here and save an innocent clerk next week the unpleasantness of this recount.
We're supposed to be proud to bank with a credit union, but the entire drive home my wife points out how even her national bank account has ATMs and lets her deposit checks in better ways. Not much of a leg to stand on for me today Trustone.
