First off, if you call them, you speak to a real, live person immediately. If you go in regularly, the staff begin to recognize you. I cannot state enough what a value it is to have a bank that invests in the local community and provides professional customer service immediately in person and over the phone. CIB holds our mortgage and has never sold to a third party. They offer competitive rates on loans and savings. We have used CIB for home equity loans, checking and savings accounts, CDs, accounts for our kids, a safe deposit box, and a financial planning consultation. There are additional branches in Hopkins, St. Louis Park, and Plymouth. I highly recommend CIB.

- AJArletha JohnsonJun 23, 20221.0This bank has been racist towards me and also harassed me. 1st I brought in my own retirement check and was treated like I stole it. Every time I came in customer service was poor but I stayed hoping things would get better. Then I applied for a Loan but since it was a small amount it was typed up as an Overdraft Protection Plan I refused to sign it so I was given a typed up made up looking letter stating it was a loan. After 2 years of this horrible treatment I chose to go to another bank but I kept my accounts open so I could still pay off my loan but once they noticed that no more direct deposits was coming they starting charging me late fees putting my checking account at -$175 and my savings $-70 in fees. I tried to explain and ask for the fees to be taken off and close my accounts but they refused. Now it has been like 4 months since I started this loan and I have not received a statement or nothing so a month ago I agreed to pay but can you please send me a statement. I finally receive a letter now it's back to being a OD plan and interest was added. This bank has been nothing but unfair I see that this bank is unfair and unwilling to treat black people fair so I will put all my evidence together so I can take them to court and suggest anybody with similar problems to do the same.
