Then insinuated that I was having a hard time paying the balance and then tried to lecture us about budgeting. Also brought up commercial accounts that has nothing to do with what we were trying to do. Something so simple, turned into a very annoying experience.

They would not deposit until I provided my ID which is a problem for me because they always want to up-sell/cross-sell or pressure me into opening an account and they have a problem understanding when a customer says no. The teller then proceeded to to tell me that it is a new policy to take ID's for cash. Keep in mind the teller could not inform me of when that policy actually took place. While speaking to the teller a manager then came and stood next to the teller and never spoke-perhaps she thought I was going to be a problem but as a consumer I have a right to know when a policy was put into effect. Disappointed with Wells Fargo I left and sent a co-worker in to deposit. That co-worker was not asked for ID or questioned in any way and received a receipt and no it was not his account but my grandfather's. Very disappointing that the teller had no issue with my Caucasian co-worker but did with me. Really brings light to the situation. When arriving home my grandfather and I reviewed all of his paperwork from Wells Fargo both on paper and online and no notice was sent to him in regards to a new policy which customers are suppose to receive such notices.
