- LGLaruga Gare3 days ago1.0Broken promises, premature repossession, and disrespectful treatment… I had a deeply disappointing experience with Blaze Credit Union that contradicts their “community-focused” branding. On 01/05/2026, the same day my vehicle was repossessed, I met in person with a Blaze branch manager at the Eden Prairie location. I was explicitly told I had until the end of the business day to bring my loan current and avoid repossession. Relying on that representation, I immediately secured the funds from my employer. Because I couldn’t leave work early, I planned to deliver payment after my shift — still within the timeframe I was given. Despite this, Blaze repossessed my vehicle before the end of the day, without warning and before I had the opportunity to tender payment I had already obtained. That is either a serious internal communication failure or a broken representation to a member acting in good faith. Afterward, when I called Blaze with a simple procedural question about repossession fees, a collections representative refused to clarify anything and ultimately hung up on me mid-sentence. I was calm and respectful the entire time. Even if Blaze didn’t like my situation, professionalism and transparency are the bare minimum expected from a federally insured credit union. Being misled about a cure deadline and then dismissed when seeking clarification is unacceptable. This experience has completely eroded my trust in Blaze Credit Union’s servicing and collections practices.

She was very proactive in working with my deadline and was able to save me a lot of money as well. Will definitely work with Blaze again in the future because of people like Kim and Tara!!

I’ve had nothing but issues ever since having a loan with them I will never ever finance anything or recommend this place to anybody. I absolutely cannot wait to refinance my loan.. If I could give this place a -5 star review, I would !
- MCMarc CarnahanSep 9, 20251.0This place has gone so far downhill, I plan on moving all my accounts somewhere else. Today, while paying for my groceries my debit card was declined. Cashier asked if I had Blaze, I said yes, they replied their system is down. Been down multiple times. Just fantastic to use a credit union where you can't access your money. Customer service is a joke, no call backs. Deplorable interest rates. You know it's bad when you're CU starts treating you like just a number like a corporate bank.
