- CCChris CarlisleNov 8, 20241.0As a former customer (not by choice) of Flagstar bank....DON'T USE THEM !!!! My loan was purchased from Chase Bank by these clowns. WORST banking experience EVER !! They will lie to you, give you the run around, change the payment amounts, escrow, and rates with no warning or explanation. AVOID AT ALL COST !!! (1 Star only because it won't let me give Zero)

- RTR TFeb 8, 20231.0My Mortgage is through flagstar, so they have to endorse my flood insurance check due to hurricane Ian. Just got $8,000, 5 months later... that doesn' even cover the drywall removal and mold remediation I paid for in October 2022. Slower than dirt, should have paid 2 more basis points to mortgage through a good bank.

I only wish I had a say in this, I wouldn’t use FlagStar for any loan, ever.... this is my second go round with FlagStar. After the transfer I received several letters saying there would be no changes and then the payment immediately went up $50. When I called customer service they wanted to argue with me. As if I don’t know how much I have been paying for my monthly payment. I argued over the added pmi cost and one lady, Teri, said if I don’t pay it she didn’t care, it was my credit score that goes down. I will refinance, it will cost me closing cost, I only hope it cost FlagStar in what they paid to buy my loan. Buyer beware, or be ready to make the largest purchase of your life with an organization that doesn’t care at all. Go to a local credit union!!!!
