- BBBarry BridgesAug 22, 20223.0My Ford dealer got me a great deal on a used car loan with LTCU. Was very very happy. THEN...the mail, email, calls, spam etc started. This bank sells your contact information. I called one company that said they could save me up to $500 a year on car insurance over State farm. I was happy. I called and They put me on hold for 15 minutes, then came back with a quote that was $1,200 more per year than I was currently paying. I asked him why they sent the flyer and they said it was Lake trust credit Union's fault. At least once a week I get mail that's either for cheaper car insurance or wanting to extend my auto warranty. So be warned.
