  They will transfer your loan to a new company after a month, and not verify who it is. You will receive about 20 letters saying they are from Flagstar, and your service is being transferred toa new lender, all with different lender companies. So you try to contact them to ensure you pay the correct lender, which it does not show on their portal where you used to pay. And you are greeted by a robot, which gives you pre-recorded information and then hangs up, with no option to talk to anyone. The actual team members are great. But the bank and it's loan system (glorified debt collectors), not so much. They should have basic verifications for issues like phishing.

  I had a deeply disappointing experience with Flagstar Bank while seeking a home loan. Initially, things seemed to be going fine, but everything changed the moment I mentioned that I would need a MSHDA loan to help with closing costs. From that point on, I felt dismissed and like I no longer mattered as a customer. Communication became minimal, and it was clear I was no longer a priority. Instead of being treated with understanding and support during such an important financial decision, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. No one seeking to buy their first home—especially with limited resources—should be made to feel this way. I expected better from a lender that claims to care about its clients.

  I am very unhappy with the service I’ve had here in regards to misplacing my debit card. Three weeks and I haven’t received it, one came incorrectly in the name of one of my other family members. Had to reissue in my name and now wait another 2-3 weeks. Representative did not even try to expedite it, because it would cost the company money. Has inflicted a great amount of stress and inconvenience on my life.
