- EPErin PutneyApr 16, 20251.0I would not recommend working with Jerad Kinney or his team. We closed on a house with Jerad and attempted to Re-Fi. Here is our experience for both occurrences: - Closing: The paperwork that Jerad sent over was consistently incorrect. I had to read through the documents with a fine-tooth comb and request specific updates to be made, which he promised would be fixed, but rarely were. Even on the day of closing, there were still errors on the paperwork (he didn’t send them in advance despite our request to do so) so we had to push out our closing. - Re-Fi: We started discussions about a Re-Fi in August of 2024. By March of 2025, no progress had been made. During these 7 months, we experienced a lack of communication (we’d go weeks without responses despite us following up), empty promises of closing dates and interest rates), and errors on our paperwork (the largest being the fact that he never locked in our original interest rate despite us requesting this and him telling us it was locked… spoiler alert – it never was). I think this example sums up our experience with Jerad well: We received documents on March 4th. After pointing out the many errors that needed to be fixed, we decided to reach out to a different lender to Re-Fi on March 12th. We ended up closing with the new lender on March 20th. We also received our first communication from Jerad in weeks on March 20th… with the same errors on the documents.
