  We previously had a mortgage with Flagstar. They bought our mortgage from the original bank that made the loan. We have since sold the house. Afterward, there was a refund due. They recently sent a letter about the check for this refund that we never received and that it will go to to the state as unclaimed if we don't respond. On the letter, it specifically says, "To avoid escheatment, please contact us or fill out and sign the notice below where required." So I contacted them via the phone number on the letter. They told me that was not enough, and I have to send the form, even though the letter states to contact OR send the form. If I send the letter now, it will most likely not get there by the deadline. Plus, The department that handles this doesn't speak to customers. The department that handles a customer issue does not speak to customers? What?

  Very irresponsible establishment. I’ve been receiving someone else’s bank statements & account info for almost a year now. Every since time, I return to sender and ask them to stop sending them to me. But I continue to get the SAME returned mail as well as NEW mail for this person. Please stop sending your clients’ information to the wrong addresses/people & PLEASE stop sending my Amy’s account info!
