  Warning this credit union is more dishonorable than their name suggests. Account was charged a fee that they said would be waived. It sent our balance to $2.00, so they sent a letter saying we have 10 days to rectify the account but already has reported it to the credit bureau and brought our credit score down 7 points. We've spent countless hours with different associates trying to set up online banking but always conveniently failed to make payments difficult "more fees". We already pay a high interest rate and expected at least some customer care. I Will refinance Monday

  I’m incredibly frustrated and disappointed with how Honor Credit Union has handled my GAP claim. After an auto accident, my insurance company paid a portion of my auto loan, but there was still an outstanding balance. I was told by two different representatives, weeks apart, that all the necessary information had been sent to the GAP company to cover the remaining balance. Despite these assurances, I noticed that the balance was still showing as due on my loan. So, I decided to reach out to the GAP company directly, only to find out that they had received absolutely nothing from Honor Credit Union, and the claim had never been processed. I was completely blindsided and had no idea that this was the case. I called Honor Credit Union again to get some answers, and was told that someone in the loan department would get back to me. However, I was informed that all the loan department staff were in the same meeting at 4pm on a Wednesday and I would have to wait for a callback. Needless to say, I’ve been left in the dark with no resolution, and no one seems to be taking ownership of the situation. It’s incredibly frustrating to be given false information multiple times and then be ignored. I expect much more from a financial institution, especially one that holds the responsibility for processing claims in a timely and efficient manner. I hope they take this review seriously and finally resolve the situation, but I’m not holding my breath. This has been a huge disappointment.

  I recently had the pleasure of working with Adrienne at the Berrien Springs branch while setting up my business account. Her exceptional service and patience made the process much smoother than I anticipated. We faced a delay due to a lengthy call with the IRS, but Adrienne handled it with remarkable composure. Even though we had to end our initial appointment without the account being opened, Adrienne's commitment didn’t stop there. She was prompt with follow-ups and took the time to call me personally. She ensured I not only received but fully understood the directions to access my new account in the business portal. Adrienne’s dedication to customer service is truly outstanding, and I’m grateful for her support. Highly recommend!

  Honor credit union has been absolutely wonderful. My car was totalled and had to deal with nothing but nightmares from my insurance company. Andrew helped make the entire process of paying off my old loan, taking a new one, and working with me on the gap policy and the issues of insurance payment timing so smooth and I never had to worry. He had my back through the entire process and was very communicative. I cannot recommend Honor highly enough, and if you are looking for a new bank to use or to refinance anything don't look any further. Use Honor because you will not regret it!
