I had a deeply upsetting experience at the Truist branch in Potomac, Maryland, after discovering that my business bank account had been compromised. Following an alert on my phone, I visited the branch to investigate, only to be informed by a banker named Danny that the ownership of my business account had been changed—without my knowledge or consent—by my former business partner. This partner, who is currently being sued for embezzlement, used what I believe were fraudulent means to remove me from my own account. What made this situation even worse was the dismissive, arrogant, and unprofessional behavior of both Danny and the branch manager. Despite the severity of the issue and my repeated requests for help, they treated my husband and me as if we were the problem. I provided multiple documents, including a police report and official state charging documents confirming the legal action against my ex-partner. Shockingly, the branch manager didn’t even bother to review them. I also asked that at minimum they freeze the account or place an alert while the matter was being investigated. Instead, I was told flatly that “there was nothing they could do.” That is simply untrue—because when I visited the Truist branch in Rockville, MD (Gibbs Street), the staff immediately took my concerns seriously, thoroughly reviewed my documents, and began working to resolve the situation and help restore my account access. The contrast between the two branches is staggering. Truist branch made a critical error in allowing an unauthorized change to my account and then the branch manager and Danny, the banker, doubled down by failing to offer basic customer service or concern. I truly hope Truist corporate takes this seriously—not only to rectify the damage done to me but to evaluate whether the branch manager and banker at Cabin John have the judgment and professionalism to serve Truist clients. No customer should be made to feel like an inconvenience—especially when they are seeking help to prevent further harm to their business.

Today had another bad experience in drive through. Last time the gentlemen’s lost one of my checks and said it was my issue then found it. Another time I was given inaccurate information regarding my business service. My son was treated rudely and they input his address wrong so his new card was never received. I have just moved here and my old branch was not like this. The location in Potomac at Tuckerman lane needs management help.

The hours of operations are not correctly written on google, but when you arrive, the personnel is there but they don’t want to service you. You think they would apologize? Be flexible? No way…
