  Its not just this branch. Capital One Legitimately Doesn't Give a _____ 2 years ago I noticed my account had been converted to a nearly zero interest rate account. I asked if I could please be switched to the current interest bearing rate. I was told to close my account and open a new one. 40+ years with Chevy Chase now Capital One and that was the solution I was offered. I took their advice and moved my personal account to CFG. Where I get 1 percentage point better than Capital One. I did however leave my business account there. They now charge me a fee to use their checking. OK. So one of my Business checks that they mail, doesn't make it. I get a notification that the check has not been cashed. The notification even has a button to "get a refund". Well that doesn't work. Went to the branch to plead my case... "Since its a paper check and I have confirmed with the COUNTY GOVERNMENT that they don't have it... can we just cancel the check so I can pay using the COUNTY online portal?" (Full accepting that county was going to charge me interest for something that wasn't my fault.) I was helped by Robin who is always there. When it reached the point that we had to talk to "another dept" I was handed the phone. The person on the other end talked in circles. Asked me the same question again and again. When the phone rep mis read her screen I couldn't even understand what she meant. I stated I don't really understand what you said, "I don't really care what term you use for it. I would like to cancel the check, get the money put back in my account, so I can pay the COUNTY." Several more minutes of this and dropped the phone on the table and slid it back to Robin. I placed all my capital one cards on the table and asked my accounts be closed. Robin did finish the phone call with the CSR and also stated that dealing with that person was frustrating. I then tried to express my annoyance without yelling, and my lack of understanding why this is so difficult. If I had just written a paper check... it would have been simple to cancel it. But since I used Pay Bills WHICH I PAY A MONTHLY FEE FOR... this could take 3-45 days to fix. They really don't care about their customers at all.

  The customer service I experienced & witnessed with others was very disappointing. A particular staff member, your teller, spoke in a condescending and dismissive manner. Great show of unprofessionalism. I see why the reviews reflect discouraged clients. What happened to attentive and helpful service? It's pretty concerning to see this come from someone in such a visible role. I hope management addresses this. Maybe this branch could use some training.

  Wonderful staff - so friendly and kind. I appreciate Priti especially. I never go into banks or visit banks anymore since most banking is virtual, but needed to walk-in one day last week. I was the only one in the bank and had a good time chatting with the staff. I am grateful to these ladies for being so positive and kind to me.
