At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities. That happens through real care to make things better. To meet client needs, to empower teammates, and to lift up communities.
If I could give zero stars, I’d still owe them interest.
You think you hate banks? Think you know how bad, cold, and indifferent they can be? Maybe you’ve met rude tellers before or endured a little incompetence? Oh no, my friend. You haven’t truly lived until you’ve visited the Truist branch at Waugh Chapel.
Here, you’ll experience customer service so breathtakingly indifferent it should be studied in business schools. Marvel as employees avoid eye contact with Olympic precision. Enjoy the unique thrill of being told conflicting information by three different people—all with absolute confidence and zero accountability.
Need something simple, like cashing a check or getting a document notarized? Perfect! They’ll make sure it takes at least two trips, a mysterious “system outage,” and the emotional resilience of a Navy SEAL.
And the attitude? Chef’s kiss. You’ll leave not only without your problem solved, but somehow feeling like you owe them an apology for daring to exist.
Truist Waugh Chapel: because sometimes you just want to feel seen—by security cameras only.

This branch is absolutely terrible. I will continue to use my main location on Mountain Road in Pasadena Maryland. I went here today to deposit money from my elderly parents into their account again deposit money, not take money out. I was told by the lady at the front counter, I was unable to since I was not listed on their account. However, I have been depositing money for my parents for years at the mountain Road location. On top of that I stood in line for 20 minutes only to be told that, and for the woman behind the counter to have an attitude. We are all now switching banks because of this. You should do better Truist bank in Gambrills!!

This is an asthetically impressive branch. The building looks new, is large, and is very spacious inside; it is very inviting when you enter. The building architecture was appealing beyond a typical branch office I've seen for any bank chain. The teller was kind and did her best to help us, though she was unable to complete the transaction because my companion didn't have proper I.D. She treated my companion with respect while still being firm in protecting customer privacy. There is ample parking, though it took me a moment to locate the front door.
