At Truist, our purpose is to inspire and build better lives and communities. That happens through real care to make things better. To meet client needs, to empower teammates, and to lift up communities.
After disappointing experiences at several Truist branches in Prince George’s County, MD, we made the decision to visit a location outside the area—and we’re so glad we did. Lauren Johnston completely turned our perception around.
From the moment we walked in, Lauren was knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, genuinely willing to help. As commercial banking clients with personal accounts at Truist as well, we value responsiveness and respect. Lauren delivered both with professionalism and care. She took the time to listen to our concerns and made us feel like our business truly mattered.
It’s rare to come across someone who combines competence with such a welcoming attitude. After dealing with the worst, Lauren was truly the best. We left the branch feeling valued and confident in our decision to continue banking with Truist—thanks entirely to her.

They’re really nice if you want to open an account. After that they are rude. Especially the manager. After waiting for 20 minutes for customer service to do a wire transfer her ‘friends’ came in. She asked me if I had been waiting. I said “yes I have.” She informed me that the people who just walked in (who she acknowledged and greeted and hugged) would be quick because they were just signing their closing documents. So I sat back down. 20 minutes later I left. I do not go into that branch and I’ll be closing that account. I need a bank who provides customer service.

Staff is not helpful. Tried to ask to talk to a Manager about my account and teller said she could not help me. Teller did not even try retrieve a manager on duty or ask if she could sit with me when manager was done with current client. Had to go to another branch to get help. Avoid this branch at all costs if you need help with something. Save yourself the time and go somewhere where they will actually look at your account. Former Dunkirk Suntrust customer. Not very happy this is now my bank due to merger of the two banks.
